A colored photo-etched instrument panel for the American Curtiss P-40 fighter in the E version in 1:72 scale. It is a finished cockpit accessory, not an aircraft kit. Thin etched metal with pre-printed colored dials replaces the panel from the kit and, even in a small scale, gives the pilot's compartment a faithful and readable look without hand painting.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War. The E version was one of the higher-performing batches, with a V12 engine and a heavy machine-gun armament. P-40s became famous among other things with the Flying Tigers volunteer group and with the characteristic shark mouth painted on the nose.
Break the panel out of the fret, remove the original instrument panel of the kit and seat the new one in its place. It holds best with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue or a glue for photo-etch. The part is tiny, so work with fine tweezers and try it for fit before fixing it.
This is a detail accessory for a cockpit, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
