Liquid Mask

VMS Liquid Mask — masking fluid

This is not a kit but modeling chemistry from the premium VMS range. It is a masking fluid (liquid mask) that you brush onto the places which are to stay unpainted — canopy glazing, wheels, rims or details, for example. When it dries it forms a flexible rubbery film; after painting, the film is simply peeled off and reveals a clean, sharply defined surface.

Use

• Brush it onto the area you want to protect during spraying.
• Let it dry — the covering layer gradually changes its appearance and is then ready to be sprayed over.
• Paint the model with an airbrush or a brush over the masked places.
• Once the paint has dried, peel the film off carefully and reveal the protected area.
• Clean the brush while the fluid is still wet; dried residue can be removed mechanically.

Who it is for

For modelers who need to mask irregular shapes, glazing and small details precisely and without residue, where ordinary masking tape would not seat properly. Suitable over acrylic and other surfaces.

Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of the reach of children. Follow the instructions on the packaging.
