Responsibility details are not available.
The LP-16 Wooden Deck Tan shade comes from the LP range by Tamiya. Its name places it among the beige tones of wood, of the kind found on a planked deck exposed to the sun and to salt water. This is why the shade is most often reached for when painting the decks of ship models, but it will also serve on crates, cargo bed floors, wooden tool handles and other parts meant to look like wood.
Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the instructions stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, and use a thinner intended for this range. Do not mix paints and thinners from different ranges, as the coat then easily goes grainy or curdles. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use and apply several thin coats instead of one heavy one. Work in a well-ventilated room and try the shade first on a scrap of plastic.
A deck looks more alive when the base shade is varied once it has dried. Subtle toning of individual planks a shade lighter and darker works well, followed by a dark liner in the gaps between the planks, which draws out their outline. On areas that were walked on, it helps to lighten the shade instead. Clean brushes and the airbrush immediately after work.
Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
