A transparent orange paint, LP-53 Clear Orange, from the Tamiya LP range. It does not cover but tints the base, so it suits clear lights, glazes and tinted areas.

LP-53 Clear Orange is a transparent orange from the Tamiya LP range. Unlike a covering shade, it does not hide the base, only tints it. It is used anywhere a surface should be colored while staying translucent, or where the shine of metal underneath should still show through.
Typical uses are clear position and marker lights, orange beacon covers and reflectors, and orange turn signal lenses on vehicles. Applied over silver or aluminum paint, it gives a warm metallic tint suited to burnt exhaust pipes and hot engine parts. It also works well for fine-tuning the shade of an already sprayed area, where a covering paint would ruin the work.
Build the shade up with the number of coats, not one heavy one. Apply a thin coat, let it dry, and only then decide whether to add another, since transparent paints darken slowly but irreversibly. Spraying gives the best result; with a brush, strokes are hard to hide on transparent shades. The base must be smooth and clean, since every flaw shows through a transparent coat. Use the thinner made for this range and the mixing ratio per the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
Thinner, brushes and other tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
