Tamiya curved modeling scissors for polycarbonate bodies are intended for a clean trim of thin plastic and polycarbonate parts along a complex outline.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling tool, not a kit. The scissors have curved blades, which is their main advantage: when following an outline, your hand and the body of the scissors stay clear of the material, so you can see the cut well and you do not have to keep repositioning the scissors when turning. The curved shape became established above all for trimming polycarbonate bodies, that is thin clear moldings that are cut along a printed line.
It will be appreciated by modelers who work with polycarbonate bodies, as well as by builders of plastic models for whom straight scissors are not enough for curved lines. It pays off wherever the quality of the cut matters: a roughly cut edge can no longer be hidden on a clear material, and cracks from a blunt tool spread further in thin polycarbonate. The tool suits a beginner too, because good scissors forgive more mistakes than a blunt scalpel and do not tear the material while cutting. Cut at a steady pace and do not close the blades all the way, which keeps the cut smooth and free of steps.
Use the scissors exclusively on the materials they are intended for. Cutting metal, wire or photo-etched frets will damage the blades beyond repair. Keep them dry and clean after use, protect the edges when storing them and keep the tool out of the reach of children.
