Green meeples, that is game pieces in the shape of a simplified human figure, measuring 16 x 16 x 8 mm by Green Stuff World. They serve as the marker of a player, a worker or a unit in board games. The dimensions and the color are given directly in the name of the product.
The meeple is today the most widespread shape of game piece of all. Its strength lies in a player connecting it at once with themselves, unlike an abstract cube or disc. It is used mainly where a piece is sent somewhere and claims something there, that is in games about placing workers, in travel games and in struggles over territory. The stated dimensions of 16 x 16 x 8 mm match the common format that most game boards and most compartments in boxes reckon with.
For owners of board games from whose box a piece has vanished, and for authors of their own games who need a reliable piece that everybody knows. Green is one of the basic game colors, so it also suits as a filling out of an existing set. The number of pieces in the package and the material are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. The decisive data, that is the dimensions and the color, follow directly from the name.
