A universal etched mesh in steel (STEEL) from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a kit but a modeling material — a sheet of fine steel mesh with regular square openings in the 6x6 pattern (the coarser spacing). It serves to reproduce radiators, intake and exhaust grilles, engine vents, fan covers and similar elements. The steel version holds its shape well and stands up to mechanical strain. The set has no set scale; you cut the material to suit.
It will be appreciated by modelers of vehicles, aircraft and ships who want realistic see-through grilles and radiators instead of solid plastic. The coarser 6x6 openings suit larger grilles and models in larger scales; finer detail is offered by the 4x4 pattern variant. It is worth test-fitting the material before gluing, so that the openings of the mesh run parallel to the surrounding lines of the model.
The steel mesh has sharp edges — work carefully, protect your eyes and keep out of the reach of children.
