Micro Ring Maker from RP Toolz is a stainless steel jig for bending wire into accurate rings roughly 1 to 6 mm in diameter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling tool, not a kit. The tool, made of stainless steel and about 104 mm long, carries stepped mandrels on which wire is wound into a ring of the diameter you want. The range covers roughly 1 to 6 mm in steps of 0.2 mm, so you make a ring of exactly the size a detail needs and, above all, the same one over and over. A ring twisted by hand tends to be oval and irregular, and on a model that shows at once.
Choose soft wire, ideally copper or brass, because hard steel wire is harder to shape and puts needless strain on the tool. Wind the wire firmly and without slack, so that the ring does not spring back. If you need several identical rings, wind a longer spiral onto a mandrel and cut the individual turns off one by one, and the result is then uniform. The ends of a ring can be soldered or secured with a drop of super glue. Wipe the tool after work and store it dry.
For advanced modelers, builders of ships, vehicles and dioramas who make their own details and do not want to rely only on the contents of a box. RP Toolz is a Hungarian maker of precision modeling tools.
Wire springs and its ends are sharp. Use eye protection while cutting and shaping it.
