A small polishing tool from the workshop range of the U-STAR brand. It aims at the places where a large polisher has nowhere to go and a cloth in the hand is no longer enough: fogged transparent parts, fine scratches left by sanding, a matte spot in otherwise glossy paint or a metal detail that is meant to reflect once finished. Polishing is always the last step after sanding. The tool will not remove coarse flaws on its own, but it can draw a surface prepared with a fine abrasive into a smooth shine.
Always go from coarser to finer: first sanding paper with gradually higher grit, and only then polishing. Work in short bursts and check the surface against the light as you go, because rubbing one place for longer heats the plastic and it can cloud over. On transparent parts a final pass with gloss varnish moreover proves itself, as it fills residual microscratches better than further polishing.
For modelers who build cars, aircraft with a large glazed canopy or anything with glossy paint, and for everyone who wants to give a part back its original transparency after sanding.
Work with feeling and without great pressure, as heated plastic deforms easily. Do not inhale the dust that forms and store the tool out of reach of children.
