Modeling clamps 9.0 cm, a set of three

The most common cause of a crooked seam is not bad glue but the fact that nobody held the parts while it was setting. The clamps take that work over: they press both halves together with a steady force and hold them in the same position for the whole drying time. The 9.0 cm length is a practical compromise between reach and handling – you can get to the middle of a fuselage or a hull without needing a large woodworking clamp.

Use

• Holding glued halves of a fuselage, a superstructure or a hull while the glue sets.
• Securing thin parts that like to bend as they dry.
• Holding small parts while painting and varnishing instead of using your fingers.
• Gripping a part while sanding, so that it does not have to be held in the hand.

Who the clamps are for

For anyone who builds plastic as well as resin models and wants free hands while gluing. Three pieces in the package are enough for an ordinary joint; for longer seams it is good to have more clamps and to space them evenly.

Put a piece of masking tape or soft foam under the jaws of the clamp so that they do not mark the plastic. Do not put a clamp on a freshly painted surface.
