The different blade shapes are not decoration: a straight blade cuts, a curved one trims sprue gates from rounded surfaces, a chisel blade takes material off across a surface and a pointed one reaches into corners. The case keeps everything together, and order matters a great deal with sharp tools.
Work on a self-healing cutting mat and draw the cut toward yourself, never against the fingers of your other hand. Do not cut thicker material in one pass; score it several times and snap it. Change the blade before it stops cutting, because a blunt blade slips, tears the material and is more dangerous than a sharp one. Put used blades into a closed container, not loose into the bin. Close the case as soon as you finish work, above all if there are children in the house.
The blades are very sharp. Work carefully, store the knife with the blade covered and keep the set out of reach of children.
