Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling knife is a tool without which building a plastic model cannot be done. It is used for separating parts from a sprue, removing the remains of gates, cleaning up parting lines, cutting masking tape, plastic sections, decals and paper. The handle is held like a pencil, so a cut can be guided with great accuracy even on small parts. The specific dimensions, the material of the handle and the type and number of blades supplied are stated on the manufacturer's packaging.
It is basic equipment for every modeler, from beginner to advanced. It pays to keep a sharp blade in the knife at all times: a blunt blade does not cut but pushes, the plastic crumbles under it and there is a risk of it slipping. Change the blades often, therefore, and put used ones into a closed container rather than loose into a bin. Work on a cutting mat and run the cut away from your body, never toward the hand holding the part.
A tool with a sharp blade. Keep it out of the reach of children, use a cutting mat and consider eye protection when applying more pressure. Blades are a consumable and are bought separately, unless stated otherwise.
