A modeling scalpel with a handle finished in green and five blades in the package. On the bench it finds its place where a cut has to be led precisely along an edge: along engraved lines, around the outline of masking tape or right at a part from which the remains of a sprue gate are being removed. A green handle is practical if you have several tools and want to tell by the color which one is fitted with which blade.
For modelers who mask a lot and work with decals, and for figure painters who care about a clean cut in a small space. If you already have one scalpel, a second in another color pays off for telling a sharp blade from a worn one. The scalpel is not for rough work, that is for thick sprue gates and hard materials, as it is far too thin for that. A cutting mat belongs with it just as much as the tool itself.
The blades are very sharp, even if they do not look it. Lead the cut away from yourself, use a cutting mat, put the tool down with the point away from your hand and put worn blades away in a closed container. Keep out of the reach of children.
