Eight lacquers covering three different schemes on Greek aircraft: the Southeast Asian four, the desert camouflage of second-hand F-5s and German Norm 83 on reconnaissance Phantoms.

What makes the set interesting is that it does not follow one finish but three separate stories. Greece operated both newly bought aircraft and second-hand machines, and the latter brought the camouflage of their previous operators with them.
The Southeast Asian four has the widest coverage. The upper surfaces are made up of Dark Tan (FS30219), the darker Dark Green (FS34079) and Medium Green under the number FS34102; Camouflage Grey (FS36622) goes underneath. The A-7 attack aircraft flew in this finish, as did the F-5 and F-4 in both the fighter and the reconnaissance roles, and so did the F-84F, the F-102, the F-104, the T-2 and T-33 trainers and the C-130 transport.
The second line consists of Pale Brown (FS30140) and Tan (FS20400). These belong on the F-5A and B acquired from Jordan in the 1980s, which kept the desert finish known as the Asia Minor scheme; their lower surfaces took the light gray from the four above.
The third pair, Black Grey (RAL7021) and Field Green (FS34095, the same as RAL6003), comes from German Norm 83. It was worn by the RF-4E reconnaissance aircraft taken over from the Luftwaffe and for a time also by the light Do-28D-2 Skyservant transport. That camouflage is overall, with no lighter belly.
For the modeler it means that one box yields several completely different-looking aircraft of the same air force.
Because the parts of the contents do not overlap, the box suits someone planning a series rather than a single build. The green and brown tones are at the same time close to the shades used on American equipment of the same period.
