Six shades of modern Russian vehicles: protective green, mustard yellow, two grays for interiors and additional tones.
Responsibility details are not available.
Postwar Soviet and later Russian armor long stayed with a single tone of protective green, which covered everything from tanks to trucks. Only in the 1990s did multi-color patterns appear, in which the green base was joined by mustard yellow and dark bands. The set covers both stages at once.
The basis is the protective green, joined by a second green tone with a stronger reflection of light for distinguishing panels and accessories. Mustard yellow belongs to the multi-color schemes and a dark gray to the bands and the shadows. The remaining two bottles, a light gray and a yellowish gray, are intended for fighting compartments and interior surfaces, which used to be light so that the crew could see the instruments better.
The six bottles contain 17 ml each of water-thinnable acrylic. The interior is painted before the hull is closed and the exterior surfaces only after assembly, because a multi-color pattern has to be carried across the whole machine at once. The green base takes strong lightening and subsequent oil filters, with which Russian machines usually reach the faded shade known from the field.
The package carries the designation of the first part, which the manufacturer follows with a second volume with further shades. The range covers machines in 1:35 scale and smaller; in larger scales it pays to mix the shades with one another because of the differences between batches of paint.
The remaining bottles serve outside this subject as well. The dark gray is a good base under the rubber tires of road wheels and the yellowish gray suits worn seats and canvas covers.
