Mr.Paint MRP-A011 Chrome — acrylic chrome metallic paint (the MRP Aqua range)

A modeling paint from the Slovak manufacturer Mr.Paint (MRP). Unlike the classic MRP lacquer range, the MRP Aqua range (codes MRP-A0xx) is a water-thinnable acrylic — a paint for brush and airbrush, practically odorless. The Chrome shade is a metallic paint with a pronounced mirror sheen, intended for imitating chromed and polished metal surfaces. It is not a kit or an accessory to a model but a paint for the final surface finish.

Use

• Airbrush: the paint is ready for immediate spraying and thinning is usually not needed. Spray in thin coats at lower pressure and let each coat dry.
• Brush: the manufacturer lists the Aqua range as suitable for brush and airbrush alike; for an even metallic effect an airbrush is noticeably better.
• Thinning and cleaning: with water or with the thinner intended for the Aqua range. Rinse the airbrush right after work, as dried acrylic is considerably harder to remove.
• With chrome the base is decisive: the best results come over a smooth, gloss black base — the more perfect the gloss under the paint, the more mirror-like the result.
• Finished chrome is delicate to the touch and to masking; handle varnishing and taping over it carefully and test on an offcut.

For modelers of aircraft, cars, motorcycles and figures who need a convincing chrome sheen — bumpers, exhausts, frames, wheels, polished panels and details. Those who want the quality of Mr.Paint paints without the solvent odor of the lacquer range will appreciate it most.

A water-thinnable acrylic. Work in a well-ventilated room and use respiratory protection when airbrushing (an aerosol is inhaled regardless of the type of binder). Keep out of the reach of children and protect from frost. The paint is supplied on its own; thinner and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
