MRP-A022 Aotake Blue

The blue aotake shade from the MRP-AQUA range. Aotake is the characteristic semi-transparent blue-green protective coating that Japanese wartime aircraft carried on their interiors and structures. It is a water-thinnable acrylic, not a lacquer, so it thins and cleans with water. It comes in a 17 ml dropper bottle.

Use

  • Applied by brush or airbrush; thinned with water, with MRP Aqua thinner or with MRP lacquer thinner.
  • The metallic cast of the shade comes out on a smooth, well-covered surface; shake the bottle before use.
  • It suits the interiors, the structures and the landing gear bays of Japanese aircraft models for a metallic bluish tone.
  • Full curing takes roughly twelve hours, after which it will take decals and washes.
