Na německou obrněnou techniku rané fáze druhé světové války — tedy Panzer III, Panzer IV, StuG a další vozidla do roku 1943, kdy byla tmavá šeď RAL 7021 tovární základní barvou. Od roku 1943 už byla základem tmavá žluť Dunkelgelb RAL 7028.

Neměli byste. Od roku 1943 se německá obrněná technika dodávala v tmavé žluti Dunkelgelb RAL 7028, na kterou se dostříkávala kamufláž z olivové zeleně Olivgrün RAL 6003 a červenohnědé Rotbraun RAL 8017. Panzergrau je odstín předchozího období a na pozdním tanku by byl chybou.

Panzergrau je opravdu velmi tmavý a v malém měřítku pohlcuje světlo i detail. Proto se běžně moduluje: odstín si rozjasněte kapkou bílé nebo světlé šedi a světlejší směsí přestříkněte horní plochy, zatímco spodní nechte tmavé. Model tím dostane objem.

Je to akryl z vodou ředitelné řady Aqua, takže vodou nebo akrylovým ředidlem téže řady. Lakové ani nitro ředidlo do ní nepatří. Zpravidla ale ředit nemusíte, barva je připravená ke stříkání rovnou z lahvičky.
