Amazing Art replacement blades No. 2 are pointed, but wider and more robust than the No. 11. Ten pieces in the package for rougher cuts in thicker material.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pointed Amazing Art blade in a more robust form. The No. 2 has a wider body and a shorter, less slender point than the classic No. 11, so it takes more pressure and does not snap as easily under load. The figure 2 is stamped in the metal and the package holds ten pieces.
For modelers whose pointed blades keep snapping on rougher work, and for diorama builders who cut thicker materials. Even so, save the point; a more robust blade is still meant for cutting, not for prying. When parting plastic sheet, lead the knife two or three times along the rule and then break the sheet along the score, which is both cleaner and safer than cutting right through at once. For fine detail move to a slimmer shape; the No. 2 is needlessly massive for small work. With foam materials it helps to lead the cut faster and with less pressure, as a slow stroke tears the material rather than cutting it.
Safety note: a larger blade calls for more force, and force means a greater risk of slipping. Always cut away from your body, put used blades away in a closed container and keep the package out of the reach of children.
