Omask MiG-15 bis sticker (15 cm, white)

An accessory item from the Omask brand: a self-adhesive sticker with the motif of the MiG-15 bis jet fighter. The name gives the size as 15 cm and the white finish. Note that this is not a modeling product. The sticker is not applied to a model under construction, it is not a canopy painting mask and it is not a decal sheet; it is a stand-alone item that customers buy for a model storage box, for the workshop or as a small gift.

The real subject

The MiG-15 is a single-engine jet fighter with a swept wing and a nose air intake that splits around the cockpit. The bis version received a more powerful engine and a range of changes to the airframe and the equipment. The aircraft was built in enormous numbers and was license-built in Czechoslovakia as well, where it served for many years with fighter and training units. Thanks to its simple and sturdy structure it ranks among the most widespread jet aircraft in history.

Use and application

• Clean and degrease the surface before applying it, because the adhesive will not hold on dust or grease.
• It holds best on a smooth, flat and dry surface; on a rough texture the adhesion gets worse.
• Lay the sticker down from one edge and press it on gradually so that no air gets trapped underneath.
• For outdoor use expect a limited service life; the manufacturer gives the instructions on resistance to water, washing and sunlight on the packaging.

Who the sticker is for

It suits admirers of early jet technology and of the Czechoslovak Air Force, which operated the type, as well as modelers looking for a small item on the subject. The 15 cm size from the name matches the usual application on a model box, a workshop cabinet or a laptop.

This is a promotional accessory item, not a kit, a mask or a decal.
