A loose material for building terrain from the Natuex F range. Three facts that decide its use follow from the name: the version is coarse, the shade is yellow and the package holds 0.1 l. The smaller volume suits places where the material serves as a supplementary shade or as an accent on a small area, not as the basic covering of a whole base.
The coarse version gives a more pronounced texture than the fine one, so it suits places where the surface is meant to look varied at first glance: the edges of tracks, the boundary between bare ground and growth, tufts at the foot of a wall or dry stalks among taller growth. The yellow shade stands for dried-out vegetation scorched by the summer sun and for straw; in larger quantity it is conspicuous, so it works best used in small amounts and scattered among more muted shades.
Proceed in layers. Coat the surface with glue, apply the material through your fingers or a sieve and sweep or carefully vacuum the excess off once it has dried. Smaller doses are easier to place and the result looks more natural than a single heavy scattering. While the glue is still soft, sharp edges can be spread out with a brush. Fix the finished surface at the end so that the material does not come loose during handling. A suitable glue and any thinning are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
