Merkava Siman Mk.1 in IDF Service, part 2 is an English-language photographic publication from the publisher Desert Eagle Publishing. The second volume follows on from the monograph on the first production version of the Merkava tank.

The book is the twenty-second volume of the IDF Armor reference range from the Israeli publisher Desert Eagle Publishing and follows on directly from the first volume devoted to the Merkava Mk.1 tank, designated Siman 1. It came out in English, in a softcover binding and full-color printing, and was prepared by the authors Michael Mass and Adam O'Brien. Like the other titles in the range, it builds on extensive photographic documentation taken in the field and complemented by technical drawings.
The publication aims at modelers of armored equipment who are building an early Merkava, most often in 1:35 scale, and need verified material for the details of the hull and the turret, the placement of the equipment and the color scheme. Photographs of real machines answer the questions that the instructions for a kit do not address: how the cables and brackets are routed, what tends to be loaded on the hull and how heavy the wear is in exposed places. Because this is the second volume, it will serve above all those who already have the first and want to add further shots to their documentation. It is usable for builders of dioramas as well, and for collectors of literature on armored equipment who follow the whole range. The book holds no modeling parts and no decals; it is exclusively a printed publication.
