This is a battle (wargame) set in 1:72 scale that brings plastic miniatures together with a board game system. The compact version is a smaller edition of the series set during the Normandy landings of 1944.
Operation Overlord was the Allied invasion of occupied France launched on 6 June 1944. The fighting for the beaches and the bocage became a turning point of the Second World War in Western Europe. The game set carries this theme over into engagements of infantry and equipment on a game board.
The plastic figures and elements can be built from the kit sprues and painted for the best appearance; for play there are the game board, the dice and the order cards contained in the package. For a more faithful impression we recommend painting the figures and weathering them lightly.
The set combines a game system with plastic miniatures. Paints and glue may not be included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
