Bandai Option Parts Set 1 (Speed Armor) is an accessory set of parts for Japanese snap-fit kits. The parts are pre-colored in the plastic and snap into place, without glue.

An accessory set from the Japanese manufacturer Bandai. It is not a kit in its own right but an accessory with which you extend a model you have already built. The subtitle Speed Armor hints that the parts are aimed at a fast, lightened form of armor, and within the range of accessory sets that is exactly the thing that tells the individual numbers apart, so choose by the subtitle.
Bandai builds snap-fit kits: the plastic is already colored right through and the parts join by snapping together. You therefore need neither glue nor paints, and nippers and a sharp knife will do for the build. Nip the part off a little away from the edge, then trim the rest of the gate and sand it with fine abrasive paper; a roughly snapped gate leaves a white lightening on colored plastic that shows.
It can be painted, even though it is not necessary. Pre-colored plastic can be repainted without trouble: degrease it, spray it with a primer and apply the paint with an airbrush or a brush. Even simple surface work without an overall respray will lift the effect: thin paint wiped into the engraved lines, a light wash in the recesses and a final matte varnish to unify the sheen of different sprues. If you are going to apply decals, lay a gloss varnish underneath them so that the carrier film does not show.
