Paint Display 17ml (6x10)

Paint Display 17ml (6x10) from Green Stuff World

A paint rack made for bottles of 17 ml. The 6x10 designation in the name describes the layout of the places into rows and columns, that is not one long row but a grid. That is exactly what matters about it. A paint standing in a grid is looked for differently from a paint in a drawer: you do not go through the labels one by one but head straight for the part where the tone should be.

What it changes at the workstation

• The shades are visible from above all at once, so choosing is a matter of a glance rather than of rummaging.
• The bottles stand and do not roll, which with paints lying down is a frequent cause of a dried-up neck.
• The collection has a permanent place, so after a session it tidies itself back up almost by itself.
• A missing shade shows as an empty place in the grid, not only at the moment you need it.

How to arrange the paints

It is best to line them up by tone, not by manufacturer or alphabetically. One column of warm shades, another of cool ones, metallic paints on their own and on their own also the basic white and black, which are reached for most often. Leave the column nearest to hand for the paints of the project in progress. It is worth adding your own legible code to the caps if the printed labels merge for you. Set the metallic paints so that you always shake them thoroughly before use.

Who it is for

For modelers and gamers whose collection of 17 ml paints has outgrown its box. It suits a home workshop and a club workstation, where it should be clear at first glance what is available and what has run out.
