Panzer IV/70 (A) is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for a model of the German tank destroyer. It is not a kit but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts in 1:35 scale for a model of the German tank destroyer Panzer IV/70 in the (A) version. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model already bought. It is a full photo-etched set, not the smaller Zoom set.
The Panzer IV/70 (A) was a tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. In a fixed superstructure it carried a long 7.5 cm PaK 42 gun with a barrel length of 70 calibers, hence the number in the designation. The letter (A) tells apart the production version with a taller, more upright superstructure from the lower and more sloped (V) version, so the two variants look different and accessories for them are not interchangeable. The vehicle had its weight markedly thrown forward by the gun, which loaded the front road wheels, and on a model that shows exactly in the detail of the running gear and the fenders.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel against a hard surface and make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades. Glue the metal with super glue and, before painting, degrease it and spray it with a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold. On a vehicle with a fixed superstructure it pays to fit the photo-etched parts to the fenders and the engine decks first and only then close the hull up. At the end, even the surface out with a matte varnish and add dark run-in shades and dust pigments, so the thin metal edges do not look artificial.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
