Paper Leaves Series - Autumn 3 is paper foliage in an autumn key for building dioramas and vignettes. It is not a kit but a scenic material with which a layer of fallen leaves gets into a scene around a model and around figures.

The set belongs to the range of paper foliage from the brand LIANG Model, intended for building dioramas and cabinet scenes. It is neither a model nor a kit of a vehicle; it is a scenic material with which the vegetation around a finished model is completed. The autumn variant aims at the season when the leaves fall and a scene takes on a warm, drying-out key.
Paper foliage differs from loose foliage in that an individual leaf has its own shape and area. In a scene it therefore reads as a leaf and not as a grain, even close up and in a macro photograph, where loose foliage usually gives away that it is only scatter. The autumn key comes into its own most where you want to show a continuous layer of fallen leaves: along wheels and tracks, in the ruts of a worn road, at the foot of a tree, in a ditch or in the corner of a yard, where leaves naturally gather. One such detail alone determines the season of a whole scene without your having to build further elements.
The leaves pour freely, so work over a tray and pick them up with a damp brush or with tweezers. Apply thinned PVA glue with a drop of detergent to the area, so that it does not gather into droplets, sprinkle the leaves on and fix them from above with a second thinned layer. The layer should be irregular, thicker in one place and with the terrain showing through in another. Once it has dried, a light touch of pigment or a muted wash helps, so that leaves lying on the ground do not look as clean as those in the crown; feel free to darken the lower layer more markedly than the one above.
This is a scenic accessory, not a kit. Glue, paints, a base and the other vegetation are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
