Pigment gel, earth (Sira Hobby)

A ready-made paste weathering product from a Czech maker in a versatile earth shade. The gel is dense and covers well; it goes on straight from the container and serves as an all-round base for dust and mud effects on vehicles, figures and in dioramas. It is thinnable with water and odorless, and it can be corrected as long as it has not dried. The package holds 20 ml.

Use

• It goes on with a brush in light touches, or with a spatula for a heavier layer of mud.
• The earth shade is a versatile base for undercarriages, cargo beds, tracks and equipment.
• To make it run into seams, dampen the surface beforehand with water and a little detergent.
• Blending it out creates dusting, and the excess is picked up with a clean brush or a cotton swab.
• Use it at full body for heavy mud, and thin the gel with water for fine dust.
