Fine Artwox Model deck planking 1.6 mm wide gives a ship model a small, calm grain of wood.
Responsibility details are not available.
The medium fine variant from the Artwox Model range measures 1.6 mm according to the name. It is a self-adhesive material for laying by hand, not a part cut for a particular kit. It is exactly this general purpose that allows one piece to be used on several projects and the rest to be put away for next time.
Natural wood has a shade that settles slightly over time, and on a model that is an advantage rather than otherwise. Under a spotlight in a display case the individual rows also differ gently from one another, because each has its grain turned a little differently. Anyone who wants the look of an old, sun-bleached surface can go over it lightly with a very thin gray shade once it is finished and wipe it straight off again.
First lay a row on the centerline, then the two outer ones along the outline, and only then fill in the space between them. This way the small inaccuracies are spread into the middle, where nobody looks for them. Finally run very fine sandpaper over the finished surface, so that no edge stands proud anywhere. Heavier sanding would wipe the grain away, though, so the old rule applies here: less is more and patience pays off.
