Two silicone brushes for spreading plaster, roughly 3.8 and 7.6 cm wide. The graded bristles hold a thick compound and the tool is cleaned wet as well as after it has dried.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pair of working brushes came about for a single task: to spread mixed plaster over the frame of terrain before it starts to set. The bristles are of unequal length and the compound stays hanging between them, so it gets onto a model in a continuous layer and not in drops.
The handle and the bristles are of silicone. That does not bond with plaster, so a dried deposit only has to be bent and peeled off. The tool survives even the case where a modeler comes back to it the next day, which is how it differs from a brush with natural hair, which after a single plaster session usually ends up in the bin.
The package holds two pieces with a width of 1 1/2 inches and 3 inches, that is roughly 3.8 and 7.6 centimeters. The narrower brush belongs at the edges of cutouts, around tunnel portals and bridge abutments and for finishing the places where the layer thins out. The wider one manages a slope or a rock face in a few strokes and leaves fewer visible transitions behind it.
The brushes will manage the plaster mixes of this maker as well as ordinary modeling plaster. The compound itself, pigments and mixing containers are not in the package, as this is purely a tool. Once the work is over it pays off to let the rest set on the brush and to peel it off whole, because washing thick plaster down the drain tends to be the shortest way to a blocked trap.
