A transparent polystyrene sheet 0.13 millimeters thick. The thinnest version in the range, suitable for glazing, screens and films where the material should barely be noticed.
Responsibility details are not available.
Thirteen hundredths of a millimeter is a thickness at which the material stops behaving like a sheet and behaves more like a firm film. It can be cut with scissors, punched with a punch and bent without heating. The transparency is not absolute as with glass, but it is sufficient for modeling use, especially when the interior behind the glass is only meant to be suggested.
The material is sensitive to solvents: ordinary cement for polystyrene fogs its surface and the transparency is gone for good. Use cements intended for clear parts, therefore, or a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue away from the visible area. If the sheet has a protective film, take it off only at the very end.
Cut edges can be polished after sanding and thereby made transparent. The item is sold in single sheets.
For small windows it pays to cut a piece slightly larger and sand the overhang away only once it is glued in. Cutting to size at the first attempt rarely succeeds with material this thin.
