The PMX-000 Messala is a large transformable mobile suit from the Zeta Gundam era. It is one of those machines that look heavy and sprawling in humanoid form, because they carry massive propulsion units that make the shift into the flight configuration possible. A dark color scheme and angular shapes make it a striking counterpoint to the slimmer Federation machines of the time.
Separate the parts with sprue cutters a little away from the part and sand the rest of the gate down with a file or a sponge; on dark plastic a light burr is conspicuous. Check the large parts before snapping them together, so that the halves meet without a gap. Pick out the panel lines with a paneliner and wipe off the excess. A matte or semi-gloss varnish will unify the surface and remove the plastic sheen. Advanced builders can add fine edge shading on the large areas, which suits a massive silhouette.
