Six potion flasks and six bottles of spirits, cast in clear resin. Equipment for an alchemist's workshop, an apothecary's shop or a setting with adventurers.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set rests on twelve castings divided between two sprues. Six pieces represent the flasks usual for potions, the other six have the shape of a bottle of spirits. The material is transparent resin, which lets light pass through the whole shape.
This set is closest to fantasy settings: a herbalist's counter, a wizard's shelf, an adventurer's pack or the laboratory of someone who does not worry about moderation. It also works in historical scenes, though, where it reads as apothecary's glass. The size matches figures from twenty-eight to thirty-five millimeters tall.
A transparent material allows a trick that does not work with solid resin: the content is painted from the inside. A drop of bright green or purple paint carried into the flask with a pointed brush creates the impression of a liquid, while the outside stays glassy and glossy. Richer shades suit potions, and muted ambers and browns suit spirits. Stoppers are suggested with a tiny dot of dark paint on the neck.
Take the castings off the sprue with a sharp knife, level the mark left by the gate with fine abrasive paper and rinse the whole thing in lukewarm water with a detergent. Any mold release agent would otherwise stop the paint adhering and the finish peels once dry. It also pays off to let the pieces dry completely before painting, because moisture inside a narrow neck is visible. The package holds only these resin pieces, with no shelves, crates or figures.
