A ready-mixed paneliner, that is a fine, pre-thinned wash meant to emphasize panel lines, engraved detail, seams and rivets. It is not a model or a kit but a modeling chemical ready for immediate use. The product has an enamel base, comes in a 30 ml bottle and the cap carries a built-in fine brush with long bristles, which holds more paint and often runs a line in a single stroke. The enamel base is the key to panel lines: it does not have the high surface tension of acrylic washes, so the paint flows into the engraving by capillary action on its own and does not spread across the surface. The Raw Umber Greenish shade is a dark greenish umber, a cooler and less rusty tone than the classic brown liners.

Use

• Apply onto a fully cured gloss coat: the paint runs into the panel lines and engraved detail by capillary action on its own.
• Once it has set, wipe the excess away with a cloth or a cotton swab moistened in enamel thinner or mineral spirits, stroking in the direction of the airflow.
• The shade suits green and olive camouflage as well as darker multi-color schemes, where a brown liner would look too warm.
• The enamel layer will not attack a cured acrylic or lacquer coat underneath, so a mistake can be washed off without risk and the line redone.
• Shake the bottle well before use so that the pigment is mixed evenly.
