A primer unifies a surface made up of plastic, photo-etched brass, metal and resin, so that the paint sits the same everywhere and holds. At the same time it works as a check on the build: in a thin gray coat, unsanded gaps, grooves and fingerprints show up at once, whereas under the paint they would come out only when it is too late.
This is a gray primer supplied in a consistency ready for spraying with an airbrush. Neutral gray is a universal base under most camouflage shades; it does not distort them and at the same time it covers the color of the plastic and of the fillers well enough.
Wash and degrease the model before spraying. Apply the primer in several really thin coats with a short pause between them, because a heavy application floods the fine surface detail and pools at the edges. It is thinned with the thinner intended for this line of paints. Work in a well-ventilated area and use a respirator, because the fumes of paints and thinners are not harmless. Clean the airbrush out immediately after you finish spraying, as dried paint is considerably harder to remove.
The primer will be appreciated by modelers who spray with an airbrush and want a reliable base under the paint, above all on models that combine plastic with photo-etched brass and other materials.
