A flat strip 1.7 x 3.4 mm with a two-to-one side ratio. A typical plank or board shape for decking, fences, ramps and formwork.
Responsibility details are not available.
A side ratio of exactly two to one makes this size a natural plank. Stood on its narrow edge, it becomes a small beam; laid flat, it gives a board like the flooring of a railcar or a walkway. This dual nature is exactly why it gets used up the fastest of the whole range.
A smooth surface gives away that it is plastic, so it pays to suggest a grain. Drag a scribing needle's tip or the edge of a fine-toothed saw along the grain several times, chip the ends irregularly, and round the edges with abrasive. After staining with a dark glaze and dry-brushing a lighter shade over it, the difference from real wood fades away.
It is used to build deck planking, picket fences, loading ramps, hull planking, bench seats and crates for dioramas. It also works well as a backing reinforcement under a thin sheet that would otherwise bow.
It is sold as plain white unworked material; all the texture and color come from the builder's hand.
With fences and decking, the same dimension repeats dozens of times, and measuring every single piece is a waste of effort. Attach a stop made from a leftover piece of thicker profile to your work surface, rest the end of the piece against it, and cut along the same fixed edge every time — all the cut pieces will then come out perfectly identical.
When building a fence, leave a small gap between the individual planks. A perfectly sealed wall looks like a single piece of plastic, while a gap that lets the background show through instantly humanizes the whole structure.
Apply the paint from the bottom up; grime will then naturally accumulate in the lower areas.
