PS25 Bright Green Spray

Tamiya PS-25 Bright Green, a bright green in a 100 ml spray

A strong, pure green from the Tamiya PS line. Chemically the line belongs among the lacquers and it is formulated for the polycarbonate bodies of radio-controlled models, that is for a material that bends and has to keep the paint even after an impact. It is not intended for styrene plastic kits. The can holds 100 ml and the paint is applied directly, with no thinning.

Spraying conditions

• The temperature of the can and of the room decides the result, because a cold can sprays coarsely and the paint breaks up into a grain, so let it come up to room temperature beforehand
• In a damp and cold space the lacquer can go matte and milky, so in that kind of weather put the job off or spray in a heated room
• Shake for at least a minute and briefly again between coats
• Apply thinly and smoothly and leave a few minutes between passes, until the surface stops being tacky
• Paint the body from the inside and back the bright green up with a white covering coat at the end so that it keeps its luminosity

Bright green is one of the colors that are easy to follow on the track and it works well paired with black, white or silver. It also suits anyone building a scheme after a particular racing original who needs a clean, unmuddied tone.

Safety at work: a flammable liquid in a pressurized container. Work outdoors or with an open window and extraction, away from open flame and hot objects, with a respirator and safety goggles. A distance of roughly 25 to 30 centimeters keeps the spray pattern even. Always make a test spray on an offcut before you spray the body, which verifies the temperature of the can as well as the behavior of the paint. Do not pierce or burn the can and do not expose it to temperatures above 40 degrees.
