Tamiya PS44 Translucent Green, a 100 ml spray

PS44 Translucent Green is a translucent green from the PS spray line of the Japanese brand Tamiya. The line is intended for the polycarbonate bodies of RC models, which are painted from the inside. The material of the body then forms a natural protective glossy cover over the paint and the coat stands up to use better. The package holds 100 ml.

Green in the translucent version does not cover. It creates a color veil through which the base shows, so it can be layered over other shades or over a metal look. With no covering base the body stays transparent, which with this line is the intention and not a fault.

Use

• Check that the inside of the body is clean, dry and free of grease from your hands.
• Stick the masking tape on the inside and press it down carefully along the whole length of the edge.
• Shake the can and spray away from the model first, so that the spray pattern settles.
• Work with a smooth movement and in thin coats, at a distance of roughly 20 to 30 centimeters.
• Let translucent shades flash off properly between coats, otherwise the tone runs together unevenly.

Who it is for

The spray suits RC modelers who want a green with depth and translucency, or who want to combine it with other shades into gradients and two-tone schemes. This line is not suitable for polystyrene plastic kits.

The aerosol is flammable and under pressure. Use it only with good ventilation or outdoors, with respiratory protection and away from any flame. Do not expose the can to heat, do not pierce it and do not burn it.
