Rapid Thinner is a thinner from the Mr.Paint line. It is used to adjust the consistency of paints of the same line before spraying and to clean the airbrush and the tools after work. The Rapid designation refers to faster evaporation, so a sprayed coat flashes off sooner than with an ordinary thinner; that helps when spraying fine transitions and thin lines, where you need to build the paint up coat after coat.
Thin the paint gradually and stir it after every addition, and always check the ratio with a test spray onto a scrap area. With a faster-drying thinner, spray from a shorter distance and at lower pressure, so that the paint does not dry in the air stream and create a grainy surface. Flush the airbrush out and take it apart after work, while the remaining paint is still wet. Do not mix the thinner with paints of another type without a test on a piece to one side.
Work in a well-ventilated area, ideally at a spray booth, and use a respirator and protective gloves. Keep the thinner away from open flames and sources of sparks and do not leave the bottle open longer than necessary, otherwise the contents evaporate quickly. Store it upright, in a cool place, out of direct sunlight and out of the reach of children. Watch out for painted surfaces and plastics around your working area, because the thinner can attack them.
It suits modelers who spray Mr.Paint colors with an airbrush and want to work with faster drying of the coats. The paints, the airbrush and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
