A water-thinnable acrylic paint from AMMO in a dark red-brown. It is the shadow, that is the darkest, tone of the modulation system — it is applied into recesses, toward the edges of surfaces and into corners, so that a model gains depth and a sense of volume. It is used together with the base and the light tone of the same range, which creates a smooth transition from shadow to light with no hard edges. The paint is opaque, matte, odorless, durable once dry (about 24 hours) and thinned with water or with acrylic thinner; the bottle usually holds a metal mixing ball, which makes stirring the pigment before use easier.
