This is a replacement part for an airbrush setup, specifically a filter element designated HS-E2. The filter goes into the compressed air line between the air source and the airbrush and catches the dirt and moisture that would otherwise end up in the paint on a model. The dimensions and the form of the thread are stated on the box; go by the HS-E2 designation and compare it with your existing setup.
For anyone who sprays with an airbrush and uses a matching filter. It pays to keep an element in reserve: a clogged or saturated filter only shows itself in a worsened spray, that is at the moment when you already have a model half sprayed. Replace it whenever it is visibly dirty, or when drops start appearing in the spray.
Always disconnect the compressed air supply and release the pressure from the air tank before replacing it. Do not take the filter apart under pressure and do not exceed the working pressure recommended by the maker of your setup.
