Freedom Model Kits ROCAF F-16A/B Block 20 is a stylized kit from the egg and cute models line. The aircraft has a deliberately foreshortened fuselage with a large canopy, so the model has no fixed scale.

A caricature plastic kit of the single-engine fighter in the version that the name designates as Block 20. The fuselage is foreshortened and the canopy oversized, which is the intention of the whole egg and cute models line: the aim is not an exact reduction but a striking stylization that is recognized at first glance. The model is small, it builds quickly and on a shelf it takes up a fraction of the room of a kit in an ordinary scale.
The F-16 is a single-engine multirole aircraft with good agility and a wide range of armament. The Block 20 form is an export variant of the single-seat F-16A and the two-seat F-16B; aircraft in this configuration were operated by the Republic of China Air Force and some of them went through a later avionics upgrade. The two-seat version keeps its combat capability and at the same time serves for training.
On caricature models what decides is the cleanness of the surface, because the areas are small and heavily rounded. The joint between the air intake and the fuselage is the most conspicuous spot, and it pays to fill it and sand it perfectly smooth. The gray finish works better if you break it up with a slight difference of shade between the panels, but keep the effect restrained so that the model does not look dirty. Pick out the panel lines with a thin wash or a paneliner and wipe the excess off in the direction of the airflow. Lay the decals over a gloss base and press them down with a decal softener so that they do not wrinkle on the curves.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
