ROCAF F-5E, F-5F and RF-5 from Freedom Model Kits is a plastic kit in the foreshortened egg model style, a caricature of a jet aircraft with a short fuselage and a large canopy. It is not in any scale.

An injection-molded plastic kit from the stylized egg model line, that is, a deliberately distorted model with a short, stocky fuselage, an oversized canopy and shortened flying surfaces. It is not a reduction in any particular scale and it is not judged as one: the aim is a caricature likeness of the real subject, recognizable at first glance. That is exactly why no scale is given for this kind of product. The name refers to the single-seat combat, two-seat and reconnaissance versions of the F-5 in the colors of the Republic of China Air Force.
The F-5 is a light supersonic combat aircraft with a pair of jet engines, a slender fuselage and a small wing. It came about as a machine that was easy to procure and undemanding in maintenance and was exported extensively; a single-seat combat version, a two-seat version with a tandem canopy and a reconnaissance form with camera equipment in the nose were built. The Republic of China Air Force was one of the major operators of the type, including license production. The egg model takes the characteristic features from the real subject, the pair of engines, the shape of the air intakes and the nose and the typical paint scheme, and carries them over into foreshortened proportions.
Compared with a classic kit the build is simpler, the parts are larger and the joints short, which makes the model suitable as a build shared with children or as a relaxing piece between more demanding projects. Even so, basic discipline pays off: cut the parts off with nippers, level the sprue nubs and sand the fuselage joints over, because on a smooth glossy surface every unevenness shows. Paint with an airbrush or a spray can in thin coats; on egg models a clean, even paint job stands out more than weathering, which there is no need to overdo here. Apply a gloss clear coat before the decals, and once they have dried, unify the surface according to the look you want. Mask the canopy with tape, because the large glazing is the dominant feature of this style.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
