These are molds intended for casting dice for tabletop role-playing games. With them a player can make a set of dice instead of buying one, in a color and finish chosen by themselves, including additives such as dyes or small flakes of glitter. The result is always slightly different, so two cast sets are never quite the same, which tends to be the main reason players take up casting their own.
The casting material, the number and shapes of the dice and the recommended procedure are given in the manufacturer's description and instructions; the molds are sold separately and casting material is not included. In general the material is poured slowly and in a thin stream so that no air stays trapped in the cavities, and the mold is left to cure for the whole time the maker of the material states before the casting is taken out. Taking it out too early is the most common cause of deformed edges.
Remove the flash from the finished casting with a sharp blade and sand the faces back with progressively finer grits so that the die falls evenly. If the die has engraved markings, bring them out with paint rubbed into the recesses and wiped off the face. Clean the mold after use and store it flat so that it does not warp.
Casting material, dyes and finishing tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The material of the mold and its dimensions are given in the manufacturer's description.
