A modeling item based on Soviet 76.2 mm ammunition with a sub-caliber armor-piercing projectile, designated UBR-354P.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation UBR-354P belongs to a Soviet 76.2 mm round. The abbreviation HVAP describes the kind of projectile: it is sub-caliber, that is the hard core sits in a lighter body that holds the shape of the projectile in the barrel and no longer works once it has left the muzzle. Thanks to the lower mass such a projectile reached a higher muzzle velocity and was used against armored targets. The letter T in the designation adds that the projectile carries a tracer, by which the trajectory could be followed.
This is a plastic model of ammunition; the name designates the subject, that is the particular type of round. The scale, the number of pieces in the package, the material and the dimensions are stated on the box and in the manufacturer's data. Check the scale above all, so that the round matches the size of the model you want to use it with.
Wash and degrease the surface before painting, or the finish will not hold. On ammunition what does the most is a legible division between the light metal case and the darker body of the projectile; the boundary is better masked than brushed in. Tone the sheen down and bring the recesses out slightly, so that a small part does not look flat. If you lay the round into a scene, allow for its weight: it lies on its whole surface and sinks into a soft base.
Paints, glue and thinner are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The extent of the package and the scale are stated on the box and in the manufacturer's data.
