Responsibility details are not available.
A model of a light armored car built from plastic bricks. Unlike a classic plastic kit, nothing is cut from sprues, glued or painted here; the parts clip together and the finished model can be taken apart and built again at any time. The bricks are compatible in shape with common construction systems, so the set can be added to from whatever is already at home. A base with a label is usually included, so the finished model shows well in a display case or on a desk.
The Sd.Kfz. 222 was a German light armored reconnaissance car of the Second World War. It was based on a four-wheel chassis with all-wheel drive and with steerable front and rear axles, which gave it good agility off road. The crew was three men and the armament was mounted in an open turret protected from above by a hinged wire mesh screen. The armor was thin and intended only against small arms rounds and splinters; the vehicle was meant for reconnaissance, not for fighting armored vehicles.
The build follows a pictorial instruction sheet step by step and even a less experienced builder will manage it. Before you start, sort the parts by size and color; the work then goes faster. Smaller bricks are easier to pull out of the model with a plastic brick separator than with a fingernail. Do not leave the finished model in direct sun, as the plastic changes shade over time. You can take the dust off it with a soft brush or compressed air; wet cleaning is not needed.
The kit is supplied unassembled. The parts clip together, so glue and paints are not needed and are not included in the package.
