A set of eight acrylic inks in dropper bottles. These are not opaque paints: they are highly transparent and dry to a glossy smooth surface, so everything that is on the surface underneath stays visible through them. That is exactly why they are used on metallic and clear surfaces, where they turn ordinary silver into colored metal and a clear part into colored glass. The effect is similar to colored lacquer on a glossy car body, which is where the name of the line comes from.
Ink applied with a brush gives a richer, more lacquered surface; with an airbrush a thinner and more even filter is created. Avoid letting the paint pool in recesses, as a large puddle darkens into a blotch once dry and the surface loses its smoothness. Let every coat dry properly before you add the next. Do not use thinners based on alcohol; according to the manufacturer they damage the ink and can clog an airbrush, while the maker's own thinner and cleaner are compatible.
For figure painters, for modelers who work with metal and clear parts, and for anyone who wants color effects that cannot be created with an opaque paint.
