This resin set from the Polish maker PANZER ART brings, in 1:35 scale, the hull of the Sherman M4A3 tank with VVSS suspension supplemented by a welded frame with sandbags. It is not a tank kit but a conversion and detail set that adds to the model the typical improvised crew armor of the end of the Second World War.
Sherman crews often piled sandbags onto the front and sides of the hull to raise their protection against anti-tank rockets. PANZER ART captures this field modification with a faithful relief of sagging bags held in a welded frame. The set replaces the corresponding parts of the hull and gives the model an authentic combat look.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection; the resin is hard but brittle, so work carefully. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The sandbags come out well in sand and brown shades, with a unifying wash and a dry brush; to tie them in with the tank we recommend final filters and dust pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
