Small Haunted Tree Stumps is a smaller variant of the scenic stumps from Green Stuff World, intended for figure bases and for filling small places in a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A smaller variant of the stumps and torsos of dried-out trees from the maker Green Stuff World. The attribute Small sets this set apart from the larger guise of the same design, which the maker also makes. It is not a kit: these are finished scenic features to be fitted and painted. The smaller size changes the way they are used, as these stumps are not the dominant feature of a scene but filling. They will fill the empty corners of a base, break up a level area of terrain and complete a larger piece of scenery where a large feature would come across as ponderous.
With small features it holds double that the placement decides. Lay them out dry and leave irregular spacing between them, as even spacing gives away that they are an accessory. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and spray a thin primer. Small areas will bear a simpler procedure than a large stump: a dark base, a pronounced dry brush along the edges and one dark glaze are usually enough, because detail worked up excessively is lost at this size anyway. Around the foot of a feature then scatter grit, moss or leaves, so that the stump does not stand out from the scene as if stuck on. If you want the impression of damp, add a hint of green or bluish in the recesses.
For figure painters who are finishing bases and for builders of dioramas and game terrain who lack small features for empty places. The height of the individual features is stated by the maker; if you are building in a particular scale, compare it with the figures in the scene.
The features are supplied unpainted, and paints, glue and a base board are not included in the package.
