A modeling aid for assembling parts at a right angle, the form designated B60. The dimensions and the contents of the package are given in the data from the manufacturer.
Responsibility details are not available.
Most of the mistakes that are visible on a finished model from the other side of the room arise in the first minutes of the build. A wall glued half a degree out, a bulkhead seated crooked, a fuselage glued with a slight twist: with the naked eye you do not notice it while gluing, but on the finished model you do. A square removes this uncertainty. The part is set against it and held until the glue dries, so the joint sets at exactly the angle it should be at, and not at the one your hand managed to hold it at.
The working surface has to be flat, otherwise not even an accurate square will help you. Assemble the parts dry first and only then apply the glue, so that it does not dry on you while you are setting them up. Press the assembly against the square and leave it in peace; shifting it once the glue has begun to set will only disturb the joint. Once it has dried, check the angle once more from both sides, because the error tends to be visible only from one particular view.
The most important thing is to keep the bearing edges clean. A dried drop of glue or putty on an edge changes the angle on all the following parts, and the error then drags on through the whole build. Wipe surplus glue off at once, while it is still wet. Store the aid so that nothing presses on the edges and no sanding dust settles on them.
Glue, tools and further modeling equipment are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
